2023 December Newsletter
Although we have many fun events planned for the month of December, it is important we continue to work together as a team in helping our Cayucos Falcons learn and grow over this busy time. I would definitely recommend taking time to read with your child, or model reading for your middle school students. Having students away from technology and taking time each day to read, write, or draw has tremendously positive impacts on their developing brains. (It also can be beneficial in the social disconnect needed by our youth today.) In the same light, in the upcoming weeks, I will present in each grade level on topics related to the Children’s Internet Protection Act. Although this is a required training, it is a great opportunity to talk with students about the following key areas: balance of technology, cyber security, cyberbullying, digital media and your brain, and social media. I look forward to spending time in the classroom.
